Privacy notice
This notice explains how information submitted to the UK Private Practice Growth Benchmark 2026 is handled. We have tried to keep it short and readable.
Who is running the benchmark?
The UK Private Practice Growth Benchmark 2026 is an independent research project run by Ben Gompertz, Matteo Gibbs and Jared Forrest.

What information do we collect?
The questionnaire asks about your private-practice business, including areas such as:
- specialty, region and practice type;
- patient enquiries, bookings and available capacity;
- fees and approximate patient value;
- referral sources, marketing channels and marketing spend;
- growth constraints, supplier experience and investment preferences.
If you choose to receive your comparison, the report, early findings or another follow-up, we may also collect your name, email address, practice name and practice website.
Please do not submit patient names, patient contact details, clinical records or any other patient-identifiable information.
How do we use the information?
We use survey responses to:
- analyse how UK private practices acquire and convert new patients;
- produce aggregated benchmark findings and comparisons;
- understand common growth constraints and market patterns;
- send you benchmark information that you have specifically requested.
Individual responses will not be published as identifiable case studies or shared with other participants without separate permission.
Optional follow-up and marketing
Contact details are optional. Where you ask to receive the report, your comparison or early findings, we use your contact details to provide those updates.
Any permission to contact you about a complimentary review or relevant patient-acquisition services is separate and optional. If you give that permission, you can withdraw it at any time by emailing us.
Our basis for processing
We process the core benchmark responses for our legitimate interests in conducting and publishing private-practice market research, while taking steps to minimise the amount of personal information collected.
Optional email updates, WhatsApp participation and commercial follow-up are based on the choices and permissions you make in the form. You can change your mind later.
Service providers
The questionnaire is hosted using Tally. We may also use Google Workspace or similar cloud services to store and analyse responses. Those providers process information on our behalf under their own security and privacy terms.
If you choose to join the Early Findings WhatsApp group, WhatsApp will process your data under its own terms. Your phone number and WhatsApp profile information may be visible to other members of that group.
How long do we keep information?
We intend to keep identifiable contact information only for as long as it is useful for the benchmark, requested follow-up and any directly related work. We will review identifiable records after the 2026 benchmark cycle and remove or anonymise information that is no longer needed.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to provide a copy of personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it where applicable, or stop using your details for optional communications.

You may also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office if you believe your personal information has been handled incorrectly.
Changes to this notice
We may update this notice if the benchmark or the services we use change. The current version will remain available on this page.
